After our split Kylie invited me to submit a remix or cover of a Whitehouse track for a tribute album on Garbage Men Puking. To be honest I had never listened to them, the only reason being “William Bennet Is My Dick” by the Gerogerigegege and Hanatarash saying “WE HATE WHITEHOUSE” - it seemed they earned a lot of hate from some of my heroes, but boy had I missed out! They are rly good, though I thought they take themselves a bit seriously - ripe for a pisstake I figured. I wired up a can of cheap energy juice (N-Gine Blue) with a contact mic and distortion pedals, and got my friend 鏡子 to perform the vocal part. Kylie asked me if I could maybe do another more serious one… I cried into my pillow, hoarsely sobbing “I thought you’d understand”.
